Abstract: Educational technology (ET) has become an essential part of foreign/second (L2) education. In order to prepare preservice teachers to employ ET effectively, teacher educators, as well as future teacher educators, need to develop positive ET-related dispositions, self-efficacy, and knowledge of and competence with technology. With this in mind, our educational technology and second language acquisition program developed a collaborative digital storytelling project in which doctoral students engaged with multimedia and multiple modalities to critically explore and negotiate their understandings and knowledge of educational technology.
