Abstract: This brief paper reviews a study in progress in a high school mathematics classroom, in which researchers are attempting to see whether the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework can impact student outcomes in an Algebra 1.5 course. This study integrates UDL with augmented reality (AR), in order to support the instructor's ability to intentionally plan curriculum that meets the three core principles and several specific guidelines of the UDL framework.
