Creating valid and reliable instruments is important for assessing students, establishing credibility in research articles, and creating self-study reports for accreditation. In this session, attendees will learn processes for making assessments and instruments more valid and reliable and for reporting these processes in research and accreditation reports. Additionally, an example of a completed report on content vailidity and interrater reliability will be provided. The presenter will provided a step-by-step walkthrough of how to perform these methods and address possible pitfalls and difficulties. Finally, the presenter will provide time for questions.
