Share Paper: Possibility of Digital Storytelling as Career Education for the ‘Half’ Coming of Age

Abstract: This research is a report on a digital storytelling workshop by 10year-old children celebrating their “Half” Coming of Age Ceremony. In the workshop, 20-year-old college students, who recently came of age, became facilitators and explored ideas about the “past,” the “present,” and the “future” with the children through video-making. Interacting in this way makes them aware of their own lives, as well as the lives of others.
