Share Paper: The Potential Synergy between Digital Games and Task-based Language Teaching and Learning

Abstract: Digital games have shown new possibilities for teaching and learning, and in particular for foreign /second languages (L2). These games can facilitate a learner-center environment with situated contexts that are optimal for interaction, active use of language, and constructive feedback. This paper presents an exploration of the literature on the synergy between game-based language learning and task-based language teaching.
