Abstract: This best-practices session will review the experiences of a graduate-level leadership preparation program in developing emotional intelligence competencies for those who are preparing for leadership positions, with a focus on select degree candidates who are engaged in preparation for non-profit leadership positions such as charter school leadership and private school leadership for which a traditional teaching background and professional school leadership certification are often not necessary.
