Abstract: This symposium will share the results of a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study on the effectiveness of simSchool at individual universities The purpose of this sequential explanatory mixed-methods study was to determine the effectiveness of simSchool, a Simulation Based Learning tool, implemented at multiple universities in the US and Puerto Rico on preservice teachers’ understanding of the educational needs of diverse learners Results indicated an increase in preservice teachers’ understanding of the educational needs of diverse learners and confidence the implementation of differentiated instruction and classroom management This symposium will share experiences from preservice teachers at a university in Missouri, a ...
