Share Paper: Augmented Reality Guided Video Tours for Greater Social to Cognitive Learner Engagement in Communities of Inquiry
Abstract: Asynchronous and synchronous social presence can build greater cognitive presence when informally interacting with content, if carefully planned with appropriate strategies. Multiple strategies for use of such augmented reality incorporating storytelling are still emerging in the today’s field of online learning. This session builds upon current techniques in utilizing asynchronous video in informal learning environments. Pilot data gained through analytics gleaned from informal interactions through a local art museum is provided.
