This virtual brief paper establishes a foundation and case for the implementation of a collaborative primary school program for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEM)/robotics for students ages 5-13, as piloted in a rural, Midwestern school. The program brings together a variety of community stakeholders including students, teachers, parents, administrators, university faculty, teacher candidates, and area businesses/engineers. This paper is a work-in-progress that may be part of a potential large-scale study.
