Abstract: I have been involved or adjacent to the Maker/Hackerspace movement since my brother went to Chaos Computer Congress in 2005 with some friends and were inspired by what they were doing in Berlin and brought back the concept to the bay area to start fundraising and eventually open Noisebridge in 2007. This has included speaking at Maker Faires, starting spaces both commercial and educational and acting as a consultant for Maker communities over the years.
