Abstract: The Asynchronous Online Communication with Cultural Professionals, an innovative online instructional model, is designed for teacher candidates of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) learners to advance their understanding other culture and develop their skills of multicultural/diverse Science Lessons. For the study, the 22 teacher candidates, as part of their science method curriculum, participate in one-hour web-based discussion sessions through an asynchronous tool (VoiceThread) at least once with one of three cultural professionals who share their culture and history.
