Abstract: a digital formative assessment APP, was used to integrate technology into an undergraduate Business Communication course, aiming to motivate student engagement, collaboration and critical thinking in learning. In this case study, was used successfully fall 2017. Holmberg’s Theory of interaction was used to ground this study. A total of 104 students across four sections were impacted by the use of Results showed that students were motivated to read ahead, they were highly engaged, scored well on summative assessments and showed improvement in both collaborative and critical thinking skills.
