Abstract: Deep learning is an important factor in processing information. Further, mental reasoning is related to deep learning, especially in the domain of science. It is theorized that having interactive content can decrease cognitive load, which can help to promote deep learning and reasoning, however individual differences such as gender may be a factor. The present study looked to determine the connection between the complexity of reasoning problems with reasoning performance and cognitive load, with a possible gender difference.
