Abstract: In the 2016-2017 academic year, the College Board released a new Advanced Placement (AP) Test in the area of Computer Science The AP Computer Science Principles course is distinct from traditional AP classes in that it is intended to be multi-disciplinary in nature and the end-of-course summative assessment includes traditional single-select multiple-choice questions and multiple-select multiple choice questions, but also through-course performance tasks, which allow students to demonstrate their proficiency with course subject matter in nontraditional ways For example students will submit a digital portfolio that will be evaluated as part of the final exam score This paper will document ...
