Abstract: The Department of Education issued a DepEd Order number 23 series of 2004 (DO.no.23s.2004) entitled Guidelines in the Use of Computer Laboratories for Teaching and Learning. The DepEd Order states that the shift from teaching/learning about technology to teaching/learning with technology across all learning areas should be implemented. There are also prior issued DepEd memo that talks about the ICT integration in classroom teaching which shows DepEd supports the ICT integration into classroom instruction. One of the primary reasons of conducting this research is to help administrators and policy-makers make informed-decisions for gaps between the policies and the practices. This paper confronts the perception of the teachers on the use of ICT in classroom teaching and yield data to help the administrators of the school and policy-makers revisit the current DepEd order, plan and implement programs for the school in support to the ICT program of the Department of Education.
