Share Paper: Resources Needed by Teachers to Promote STEM in Their Classroom

Abstract: This paper explores teachers’ perceptions of the challenges of teaching in relation to the resources teachers need to effectively teach STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in the classroom. Surveys were completed by 121 educators who registered and chaperoned middle and high school students at two, hands-on student STEM programs. While their students were attending the programs, the teachers were either attending a concurrent teacher conference or observing students at the event.
