Abstract: The maker movement is sweeping across the US We are seeing schools incorporate makerspaces, 3D printers, coding, microprocessors and a myriad of engineering tools into their schools Schools are dedicating time for students to be creative and innovative, and teacher preparation programs are beginning to include making into their curricula and research agendas (Cohen, 2017) How can we make sure this time isn’t wasted? How can we connect the idea of maker pedagogy to the traditional classroom? These questions drive our panel debate
