The Versatility of simSchool in Teacher Preparation

Abstract: This sequential mixed-method study focused on the use of the Simulation Based Learning (SBL) tool, simSchool, as a supplement to coursework and field experiences, and explored the use simSchool in preservice teacher education programs. This study is one the first studies to evaluate simSchool as a tool for studying the impact on preservice teachers’ understanding of the educational needs of diverse learners, their understanding of differentiated instruction and their understanding of classroom management in one study using the same participants.
