Abstract: We investigate how and what extent we can use the data acquired from accelerometer sensor to analyze and guess the states and activities of students in a group learning situation. Some research shows that the combination of infrared sensor and accelerometer sensor can effectively give information about the interaction between students, and other research shows that the combination of simple accelerometer also can be used to detect the collaboration in a group learning situation.
