Abstract: Teacher image and morale in our nation has taken a hit in the past few years. A glimmer of hope lies in the influence and recruitment of quality high school students who indicate an interest in education careers. Some students, however, do not have the resources necessary to unite with others on a local basis and/or may find themselves alone in their desire to pursue early opportunities in the field of education. This paper outlines the requirements and specifications for developing the EPIC (Educating Pre-Service in Collaboration) program which would provide a virtual connection between these students and established pre-service programs in other high schools nationwide. The program would provide a way for these students to still participate in instruction and activities through virtual interactions with students in those established programs allowing them to become collaborative participants with others in pre-service educators’ training.
