Abstract: Blended learning takes place when an educational program includes both online learning and face-to-face instruction, and models of blended learning are becoming common in classrooms across the United States. Meanwhile, the numbers of non-English speaking students in American K-12 classrooms continue to increase. This paper discusses the four models of blended learning and identifies digital tools that can be incorporated in each of these models to assist English language learners.
