Preparing Teacher Candidates to Use Instructional Technology in a Blended Course

Abstract: The rapid development of technology has enriched teaching and learning experiences. A significant outcome is the proliferation of distance education. More and more students take courses online. Compared to purely online learning, blended learning takes advantage of the benefits of online learning and face-to-face class meetings. This study intends to examine the effects of blended design on teacher education students’ learning of instructional technology. The students’ perceptions on the effectiveness of online learning, satisfaction with the blended mode and self-efficacy in technology integration will be reported.
