Abstract: The purpose of the study is to determine if using self-paced online multimedia format for studying for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination (UCPAE) is different than using courses with live instruction. There are no studies the researcher could find that specifically addresses studying for the UCPAE using different formats, so instead I was limited to generalizing based on studies that address the use of multimedia compared to live instruction courses. Participants used in the study would be UCPAE exam candidates who used one of the two formats above to study for the exam in Texas and who agreed to participate in the study.
