Abstract: Graduate students in a counseling program at a southeastern university will utilize digital storytelling to explore their cultural identities and share experiences that significantly impacted their cultural identity development. In the helping professions, an understanding of cultural context is needed to effectively interact and provide services to clients. A helping professional’s understanding of how attitudes, beliefs, and understandings are shaped by a cultural framework is necessary in developing a working relationship with a client.
