Abstract: Online teacherpreneurship is a new phenomenon that is yet to be largely addressed in educational scholarship. Online teacherpreneurs are teachers who act in entrepreneurial ways, sharing teaching ideas and resources online via blogs, social media, and virtual marketplaces, often for financial gain. In this presentation, we define online teacherpreneurship and explore possibilities for future study of this topic. This is achieved through a literature review and synthesis of the relevant topics of entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, teacher leadership, entrepreneurial education, and teacherpreneurship. Four big ideas regarding the opportunities of online teacherpreneurship are presented.
