Abstract: Technology and supporting infrastructure now exist to make the development of educational repurposed media a cost effective and educationally supportive process. In this project a public domain novel, The Secret Garden, was repurposed to have over 125 reading strategies and instruction embedded throughout the text. When completed, the digital version of the book received an ISBN number and was published through multiple ebook resource locations and made available to teachers and students at no cost.
