Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of having student teachers watch a video-recording of a lesson they had taught and if after watching the video the student teachers were more reflective. A qualitative research design was used for this study and a total of eleven student teachers were interviewed. After recording the student teachers teach a lesson, the video was uploaded to the website Ed Puzzle. Uploading the video allowed the student teachers to have easier access to the video and it allows the student teacher supervisor to insert questions into the video and the student teachers’ responses are saved online. All eleven students reported that they found viewing the video helpful. All eleven students reported that watching the video, while difficult at first, allowed them the opportunity to self evaluate their teaching methods and reflect on both what went well during the lesson and areas the student teachers needed change.
