Abstract: 21st century competencies including cognitive, interpersonal, and intrapersonal dimension have been touted as a key in helping produce students with highly critical thinking and unstructured problem-solving capability. FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is designed to teach children to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts (STEM), and their imagination to solve real-world problems. In recent years, the state of Louisiana, USA, has experienced a steady growth of FLL participating teams.
