The Potential of Web 2.0 Technologies for Professional Development
Abstract: Although the term has been widely used, it can be said that there is no consensus on the meaning of Web 2.0 since it appeared Nevertheless, Web 2.0 technologies can be used many different ways; either as a tool or more than a tool, as a media or a tool in media; as a content itself or a tool that creates the content. In spite of being conscious about advantages of Web 2.0 technologies in education just few educators can use them effectively. In this paper a new categorization will be suggested to simplify the usage Web 2.0 tools in professional development.
