Abstract: We describe the design and formative evaluation of online-based e-learning professional development training module for teachers to develop their knowledge of technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge (TPACK). The design was guided by research on TPACK, e-learning design, and adult learning. To evaluate the module, 76 teachers from two middle schools in Southern California were invited to use the training module, and 20 completed questionnaires (with 33 questions) about their experiences. Results indicate participants gained knowledge and skills for using their school computer lab, integrating technology into their classroom instruction, and found the e-learning training module to be helpful overall. The module represents a promising strategy for teacher professional development, and is available online at: http://j.mp/TechReadyPD
