Abstract: The educational potential of digital games (hereafter games) has increasingly grabbed people’s attention. However, limited attention has been given to the use of games for other important purposes such as how games can be employed to address issues like cyberbullying, a very serious problem. This paper aims to bridge the gap in the literature through the examination of how digital games can be used to fight cyberbullying and bullying. The following research questions guide this study: 1) What are young adults’ beliefs about the use of games to address cyberbullying? 2) What are young adults’ preferred gaming style to address cyberbullying? Using a cross-sectional survey design to investigate young adults’ beliefs and experiences, the participants were 193 students who were enrolled in a university in east coast of US.
