Abstract: This paper details research conducted in two school districts in southern Illinois. In cooperation with technology directors, technology coordinators, teachers and administrators, the authors explored existing professional development to encourage meaningful technology integration into the classroom. The study explores the limitations of many technology professional development opportunities, identifies potential solutions, and makes recommendations for change in the way professional development selected and delivered.
