Abstract: When used appropriately the integration of video into the language classroom has many educational benefits. The benefits may be especially apparent for language learners who rely on visuals and contextualized situations (Sherman, 2003; Walker & White, 2013). Harris (2003) argues that non-verbal communication is an essential part of everyday communication and aids in language comprehension. The visuals found in audiovisuals reinforce the audible content and facilitate listening comprehension (Gromik, 2012; Sherman, 2003; Webb, 2011; Weyers, 1999).
