Tablets in Pre-service Teacher Education:A Literature Review

Abstract: There is an increased need of preparing pre-service teachers to teach with tablets, as tablets proliferate in nation’s classrooms. The purpose of this study is to assess the potential of tablets in pre-service teacher training. A review of the effectiveness of using tablets in pre-service teacher training as well as capacities of tablets will be conducted. Research findings from different studies will be synthesized. Recommendations of how to prepare pre-service teachers to teach with tablets will be provided. Researchers will also identify future research directions on the use of tablets in per-service teacher training.
