Abstract: This paper discusses the effect of experiential learning on non-native graduate students’ learning of academic literacy in the field of TESOL and Applied Linguistics. The results showed a positive effect of experiential learning on students’ learning of pedagogical content and writing conventions. The non-native graduate students in the study were able to produce disciplinary academic papers with higher quality as a result of participating in experiential learning. TESOL educators are encouraged to incorporate experiential learning into their curriculum.
