Abstract: According to many studies, older people may have low self-efficacy and high technology anxiety. The authors have conducted several workshops in order to study intergenerational cooperation in the use of touch tablets to design and play a video game. Beyond physical and mental deteriorations, these activities have highlighted unexpected difficulties based on implicit knowledge differences between children and the elderly. The purpose of this article is to make explicit some of these differences. In this way, these differences may be avoided more easily in future attempts to develop the use of high technology devices by elderly adults.
