Abstract: Saudi Arabia and the US (United States of America) both have procedures in place for identifying and serving individuals with autism in the classroom. This study examined the differences of teachers' attitudes toward students with autism in the US and Saudi Arabia. Data were gathered and contrasted from both general teachers, and special education teachers in both countries. Results indicate significant differences in responses from the Saudi and US teachers in 10 of fourteen questions asked concerning teacher attitudes towards students with autism. Although the educational regulations governing autism in the Saudi Arabia were introduced and modeled after US legislation, the teachers in Saudi Arabia tend to teach separately and not in an inclusive environment possibly because of a lack of training and knowledge concerning
