Abstract: Don’t drown in the sea of apps. Learn to navigate like a pro. In this workshop, you will learn how to meaningfully integrate iPads in your learning and instructional contexts, as well as to determine if your implementation is working. We developed this workshop because we were fed up with the status quo of iPad training and disturbed by reports that teachers were being issued iPads with insufficient support. We have created an easy-to-use set of tools and best practices that will be familiar to teachers for meaningfully integrating iPads into learning and instruction. Our Software Identification and Evaluation for Decision-making (SIED) framework is needs-based, student-centered, and focuses on helping you take charge of your iPad implementation. We have provided this workshop to hundreds of teachers and have been overwhelmed by all the positive feedback. Join us and find out what the buzz is all about.
