ID: 44244
Abstract: It is important that preservice teachers know how to incorporate technology in 21st century ways in their future classrooms. The authors recently published a textbook, founded on well-documented theories and five years of research, that focuses students on understanding 21st century skills and the role of technology in promoting these skills within the context of teaching and learning. This paper will describe the theories that provided a framework for writing the textbook and illustrate how tenets of each theory were incorporated into instructional strategies.
