Abstract: This study describes a 7th grade literacy and science collaboration project using augmented reality to support students’ writing and speaking around a science fiction unit of study. The researchers included one first year teacher supported by a teacher education faculty. Students collaboratively authored paper slide presentations by hand and through comic-creators. They then staged their presentations using the Aurasma application. Results indicate that use of Aurasma to support digital writing created an engaging and collaborative experience for the learners.
