Literature Instruction in the Middle School: Livescribe and a University-School Partnership

Abstract: A sixth grade teacher, her student teacher, and university-based teacher educators partnered to create and implement centers using Livescribe smartpens. These centers encourage collaboration as students worked through several centers analyzing the Young Adult novel Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. This project demonstrates both authentic technology integration and the classroom and the benefits of effective university-school partnerships.
