Abstract: This paper will describe a semester-long asynchronous peer-coaching project that connected a group of high school seniors in a rural community and a group of 6th graders in an urban setting. By connecting two groups of students, a rural educator attempted to improve her students writing skills. In the end, the rural students gained a stronger sense of self-awareness and learner agency in addition to better writing and digital medial literacy skills.
