Abstract: Innovative pedagogy utilizing technology integration is an important component in the classroom today. This work-in-progress paper explores the use of creative instruction through simulations in two disparate college classrooms. The goal is to show that by using innovative teaching and learning processes students gain skills in collaboration and team building, enhanced communication through presentation, and applied analysis of information. The aim of this project is to reinforce the need to provide educational opportunities that incorporate 21st century skills to include the internet, use of information technologies, and social networking and to underscore that innovative pedagogy is imperative to help prepare students for their role in this digital environment.
