Abstract: This study examined online attrition and retention efforts in a community college in the Rocky Mountain Region. One of the aims of this study was to analyze what factors influence students’ decision to drop out from online courses, in particular low socioeconomic status students. A mixed methods design was used to collects both quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, observation and interviews.
