Abstract: In this session Roundtable participants will review and discuss evaluation topics and resources presented in a Program Director’s Guide to Evaluating STEM Education Programs: Lessons Learned from Local, State, and National Initiatives. Few educator/project directors are trained evaluators. Yet every project director needs to know enough about evaluation to hire and collaborate with an evaluator who will help them ask and answer the right questions, gather strong data, and draw independent conclusions related to project effectiveness. What do current and future technology educators need to know and be able to do to engage in and monitor a robust evaluation of their programs/projects? What needs to be included in faculty development programs to ensure that current and future educators are prepared to successfully lead their technology programs?
