Abstract: Two years ago Microsoft Education invited a group of teacher educators from ten universities and three professional organizations from the United States, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Finland and issued a grand challenge - to develop the model for a professional development workshop for teacher educators that helped them build their technology integration knowledge, or TPACK. The challenge was that this workshop would be delivered in universities around the world, in contexts with high and low access to a range of technology tools and resources, and with varying levels of participant experience and comfort in using technologies for teaching and learning. In this panel, we will share different perspectives on a phased rollout of this work around the world. We identify opportunities, challenges, and implications of working across contexts in different regions of the world.
