Considerations for Using the Same Online Course Shell in Three Different Countries

Abstract: The same online course shell was used for educational technology workshops in the United States, China, and Indonesia. The course was customized to instructional and cultural needs of each locale. A Global Adaptation Rubric was developed to assess the courses for adherence to localization needs and cultural sensitivity. The presentation will address the findings and challenges involved with designing and implementing the courses as well as, the implications for global learning and educational collaboration.
