ELCC Standards and Leadership: Using student feedback for program improvement and course delivery
Abstract: Instructional Leaders have many challenges in order to effectively lead students, faculty/staff, parents, and the community toward a common vision. Challenges force Educational Leadership programs to address multi-dimensional issues within the curriculum in order for emerging leaders to be effective. The Wallace Foundation has developed a best practice model that helps cultivate leadership in others so that all involved can realize their part of the schools’ vision. This paper will address perceptions of the ELCC Standards among emerging leaders who have completed an Educational Leadership program, a 21st century shared leadership model, best practices as set by the Wallace Foundation, and different methods for course delivery in Educational Leadership programs at Mississippi State University.
