Abstract: The social media platform Google+ is an online tool which creates innovative learning environments within a classroom. This roundtable session will examine the social media platform Google+ as a useful tool for building cohesive learning communities and globally connecting the classroom. With its robust features, it can be used to support activities such as collaborative projects, class discussion, course assignments, parent engagement, and more. Discussion will include what Google+ is, how it works, and concrete ideas for creating rich collaborative environments that support learning opportunities.
