Connecting the Dots Between the Technology Professional Development Needs of Teachers and Technology Implementation
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the technology professional development needs of teachers and the methods that they use to learn about technology. The participants in the study were eighty teachers who were enrolled in a graduate class designed to teach them how to use technology to create instructional materials. A qualitative design was implemented by using a survey short survey with open-ended questions. The results of the study indicate that most of the teachers use online resources to learn about technology. In addition, the skill that the participants identified as most needed was the use of technology to implement school curriculums.
